I have candles in every room of my house, the flickering candlelight and delicious scents help me unwind. Candles create a calming and peaceful atmosphere and give the illusion of warmth, perfect for those cold winter evenings! Candles are also my number one go-to when it comes present buying, everybody loves a candle!
I was recently gifted Kahale London’s beautiful new collection of luxurious, sustainable candles. Made from premium vegetable wax and with a burning time of around sixty hours, Kahale candles are hand-poured in the UK, vegan friendly and free of parbens and phthalates. The fragrances in this beautiful collection have been carefully blended to transport you to Vietnam and Oriental spice markets, as well as combining expensive ingredients such as oud wood, peony and vetiver oil.
If like me you follow countless ‘Home Decor Inspiration’ accounts on Instagram. Kahale’s urban and chic, matte black jars are the perfect home accessory. The statement jars works great as a centrepiece, either on their own or clustered together.
The Collection
Peony x Oud Wood – The richest scent of the collection, floral notes blended with smoky oud wood. This candle has pride of place in my living/dining room, the fragrance is strong and lingers longer than the other two scents, perfect for larger spaces.
Turkish Fig x Vetiver – The earthy scent of Vetiver, combined with hints of vanilla and the subtle spice of Turkish Fig blends deliciously together.
Black Pepper x Raspberry – My favourite of all the three scents, and one I use whilst indulging in a bubble bath and a glass of vino. This signature blend of has been created to transport you to Vietnam, I love the fruit notes.
Priced at £52.00 per candle, Kahale most definitely fall into the ‘luxury’ bracket. I would never usually buy a candle over £25.00, unless I was being ultra-fancy. However, the reason I wanted to write this feature, was for the incredible cause Kahale support. Kahale are proud partners for ‘The Childhood Trust’, a non-profit organisation supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged children living in poverty. £3.00 from each candle purchase is given to this amazing charity.
Kahale have a mission to reduce their carbon footprint and invest in local communities, sourcing raw ingredients from British small businesses, and do not test on animals! Kahale can also add personalised gift notes, printed on premium ‘Mohawk’ paper, perfect for wedding and corporate gifting.
Their luxurious packaging is reusable and recyclable, the tissue paper is printed using soy-based ink, even the bespoke labels are paper-based instead of vinyl. If you are looking for an indulgent candle purchase or gift for a loved one, Kahale London really offer ‘affordable luxury. I am all for investing in products when they have such a strong ethic, Kahale most definitely work hard to ensure they use the best ingredients that are sustainably sourced to help our environment.
