With a vast array of beautiful blooms to choose from in a wide variety of colours you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to wedding flowers. In my opinion flowers are one of the most important design elements to a wedding day. Flowers bring colour, style, and life to even the starkest of venues. These stunning floral ideas are guaranteed to brighten up your big day.

This stunning table plan has to be one of my favourites. Designed by the hugely talented florist Phillipa Craddock adding flowers to your table plan really makes a dramatic impact.

When it comes to bright, bold flowers you can’t really get any better than sunflowers. These hanging artificial sunflower pomanders look bright and beautiful and at the same time they won’t break the bank. Hang them with ribbon or string from the rafters of a barn or place them above your reception tables. Pomanders are extremely versatile and can also be used for your bridesmaids bouquet or attached to the end of your pew ends.

Mason jars wrapped in lace wrapped glass featuring blooms such as roses, hydrangeas and cow parsley are perfect for that vintage and rustic wedding. These cute arrangements were designed by florist Vic Brotherson from Scarlet and Violet.

If you want extravagant and lavish arrangements create tall and dramatic centrepieces. Use rich colours such as scarlet red with deep purples and incorperate large blooms such as hydrangeas and blown roses. This beautiful arrangement uses hanging grapes to add that extra opulence.

When it comes to your bridal bouquet why not make a bold statement with an eye-catching King Protea. The Protea is the national flower of South Africa and comes in a wide variety of shapes and colours. The King Protea is the largest of the Protea family and is perfect as the main feature in your bouquet.

Hanging floral displays are becoming an increasingly popular trend. This design concept can work with any theme whether you are going for stylish and sophisticated or rustic and edgy.

Ensure that your entrance is unforgettable by draping the staircase in a stunning floral display. Perfect for securing that dramatic photo opportunity. This breathtaking design was created by one of London’s leading florists Veevers Carter.

Step away from the usual organza ribbons and sashes by adding fresh floral garlands to the backs of your reception chairs.

Add a garland table runner down the centre of our top table, include foliage to increase impact, eucalyptus is my personal favourite. This dramatic floral display can work beautifully set upon wooden slatted tables for a vintage or rustic wedding.
