Over the years I have backcombed, straightened, dyed, curled, Brazilian blow dried and bleached my poor hair. I am very lucky (or unlucky when it comes to humidity) to be blessed with thick, curly hair. Every day my hair is subjected to some form of heat, whether that be by a blow-dryer or straighteners, in order to contain the frizz.
This of course results in dry, split ends and my hair is always in need of a little TLC. I occasionally treat myself to a deep conditioning treatment at the salon, however, treatments can be pricey. If you are looking to give your hair a little pick-me-up, I have the perfect product that hydrates and restores your dry, damaged locks without breaking the bank!
Coco and Eve ‘Like a Virgin’ Coconut and Fig Hair Masque is now going to be an essential part of my haircare routine. I can honestly say, after I used this amazing masque, I felt like I had walked fresh out of the salon.
The fabulous list of ingredients include raw virgin coconuts from Bali, figs, shea butter, linseed and Argan oil. All of these natural ingredients help promote a healthy scalp, prevent hair breakage and split ends, enhance shine, tame frizz and makes your hair softer and more manageable. Coco and Eve is also 100% vegan and cruelty free, as well as being free from sulphates, parabens, gluten and all other bad nasties.

I managed to bag this amazing product for £34.90 including delivery, during one of their special offers. As well as the hair masque, I also received a free tangle tamer (worth $15/£11.50) and their new microfibre towel hair wrap (worth £19.90) which is designed to dry your hair quicker (reducing blow dry time) and helps combat the frizz and fly-aways. Keep an eye out on the Coco and Eve website as they often have great offers.
The packaging is super cute and luxurious, printed in their signature Bali tropical leaf print which is also printed on the towel wrap. Of course, with all of those delicious, natural ingredients, the smell is utterly divine. You apply the masque after washing, using the tangle tamer to ensure you get the masque all over your hair. It has a really smooth, silky texture and is really easy to apply. Unlike some hair conditioning products, it doesn’t leave a sticky residue and feels really light.
I left the masque on for twenty minutes, you can leave it in as long as you like, even overnight for a deeper nourishing treatment. I instantly noticed how silky my hair felt when washing the masque out. After wrapping my hair for fifteen minutes in the towel wrap, I blasted my hair with the hair dryer and was amazed at how soft and light my hair felt. My hair is extremely frizzy, and although the mane was still very voluminous, it was much more manageable when it came to curling with the straighteners. Overall, I saved about ten minutes styling time!
After using straighteners, you usually notice the ‘burning’ smell on your hair from the extreme heat. This typically overpowers any shampoo or product but all I could smell was the gorgeous mix of coconut, fig and shea butter. My hair was shiny, super soft and the light scent lingered on my hair until I washed it again two days later. I can honestly say this is the best hair conditioning product I have ever used, I can’t recommend it enough.
